I don't think I've ever been more excited for a blog post, like, ever. As most of you have seen on , Danny and I got a puppy - little miss Gigi. We have wanted a puppy basically since we moved in together, but life gets busy and searching for the perfect pup can get put on the back burner.  When we found Gig online we knew we had to have her. One of Danny's good friends in Mexico was able to go to Mexico City to pick her up and bring her here. She is such a sweetheart and I can't get enough of her! I also have a new found respect for puppy parents because she has successfully kept us up all night and has had an accident on almost every square foot of the house!

There are few things I love more than coming home after a long day and enjoying a glass of wine with my husband. Both of us being self employed our days can get a little hectic and stressful, so being able to reconnect and unwind at the end of the day is so important. Even though the weather is much cooler now, theres nothing like bundling up, heading to the patio, lighting some candles and enjoying a glass of wine with the crisp autumn air. When the weather starts to cool down I always gravitate towards big bold red wines - I love the Red Rooster Cabernet Merlot, I find it's a great wine to have around because it pairs well with almost everything, it's also super reasonably priced! I personally love it with parmesan - pop some corn, top with freshly grated parmesan and pour a glass of Cabernet Merlot for the perfect late night snack.

I also tend to have a major sweet tooth so I love my late harvests and my ice wines. The Riesling Ice Wine also from Red Rooster is such a great end of the day treat. I've had ice wine served in a chocolate cup and it was amazing! So this with some dark chocolate is a decadent combination. The Red Rooster Meritage is also delicious with dark chocolate if you don't want to overdo it with the sweet!

I love having fun little date nights with Danny even if it's at home! So easy to grab some blankets, a bottle of great wine and make yourselves a little at home picnic to take to the patio!
