A couple weeks ago, I decided to surprise Danny with a two day trip to Whistler to celebrate a year of success with both of our businesses. Being self employed we don't really get to do the whole Christmas party thing anymore so this was our own little party for two. We walked the snowy village, spent a day at the spa, and lounged in the outdoor hot tub, it was the perfect way to congratulate ourselves and end another wonderful year.

#BECOMINGAGARCIA

Yesterday morning, after all the presents were opened and the coffee was poured, I surprised Danny with our wedding video featurette. When we were planning our wedding, we couldn't decide whether or not to hire a videographer, I am SO over the moon thrilled we did. At the end of the day, when all is said and done, all you will be left with are your photos and videos to remember your oh so special day. We hired a friend of a friend to do our videography - Landon Kuntz and I cannot believe what an absolutely beautiful job he did. Christmas morning was the perfect time to cozy up and take a trip back to our special day, August 23rd, 2014.

If you're anything like me you almost always have to have something sweet after dinner. This little nightcap is the perfect after dinner drink to serve to your guests. Or make one for you and your love, and cuddle up by the fire with a good flick. 


Take one part Van Gogh Dark Chocolate Vodka, two parts Baileys, shake over ice, pour and top with a Ferrero Rocher - voilà!

One of the things I am most excited for this Christmas is finally being able to host our friends and family now that we have settled into our new space. Although I will not be hosting Christmas dinner here, this setup is also perfect for a girlfriend's holiday brunch or a holiday dinner with good friends. I love the idea of setting the table with a little Ferrero Rocher treat to have that day or to take home.

It has been almost seven years since I last visited Taxco and it was just as beautiful as I had remembered. Of course, being 25 now vs. 19 I appreciated it's beauty much more this time around. Danny and I got to tour my Mother around this silver mining town and indulge in a glass of wine from a rooftop that overlooked the stunning Santa Prisca Church.
