GOOD VIBES //

Friday, 10 April 2015

Sweater: Maccs | Dress: Maccs | Headwrap: I Wear The Headress | Necklace: Madewell (sold out, similar) | Shoes: Ingledews

I felt a bit like a flying squirrel in that last one ;). SO! Danny and I spent our Easter weekend in the Okanagan and it was (as always) so much fun. We got to spend time with friends and family and of course drink lots of wine. My parents also put together an adult easter egg hunt for us (complete with beer) which seems to be a new tradition and I am all for it. Before I left I had picked up this amazing head wrap from I Wear The Headress and was instantly in love. Seriously I don't know what this boho obsession is as of late but I like it, maybe because it's festival season? Either way, hope you guys have a fabulous weekend and stay tuned (do people still say stay tuned?) for more boho obsessions! ;)

I've scoured the web, and these 9 made the cut. I'm so excited to wear the tall sandals with swing dresses, the heeled ones with my fav destroyed denim and the flats with all of the above! Summer you can start anytime now, kay thx bye.

#MACCSSPRINGFLING //

Tuesday, 7 April 2015

A couple weekends ago I hosted a shopping party at the Maccs showroom located in the suburbs of Vancouver. I often take appointments for lovely ladies that want to come shop but I thought it would be fun to have a sort of welcoming Spring party! The day was perfect - I mean, how can you go wrong with shopping, churros, and wine?! Thank you to all the gorgeous ladies that came out to shop - it was so fun meeting you! A very special thank you to  who supplied the yummy sips,  for the delicious on the spot churros, and I Wear The Headress for bringing the amazing head pieces! Can't wait for the next pop-up!

A DAY IN STEVESTON //

Friday, 3 April 2015

Dress: Aritzia (also love this and this) | Hat: H&M (old similar) | Necklace: Madewell (sold out, also love this) | Shoes: Ingledews

Lately I have seriously been channeling my inner bohemian. I actually bought this dress last year to wear to my wedding rehearsal dinner and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite pieces in my closet. It's so soft, flowy, just gorgeous! I paired it with my new favorite Spring booties from Ingledews - the buckles on the side added the perfect edge! PS is anyone else in Van finding it extremely hard to dress lately, one minute it's sunny and warm the next it's raining - hmpf!

DIGITAL DARLINGS //

Wednesday, 1 April 2015

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending Miss Bria of Digital Darlings' two day photoshop bootcamp in Vancouver.
For two days we went through a crash course learning everything from the basics to tips and tricks to edit like a pro! I had always wanted to attend Bria's course and was thrilled when the opportunity finally came up to attend her class. Photoshop is such a key tool for any blogger or business owner - it can take your site/branding/marketing from 0 to 100 real quick. Post class I've already put my new skills to work aiding in the growth of both my blog and two online shops. I think one of the biggest take aways for me was learning how to create a GIF through photoshop. Before the class I was paying a monthly fee to a website that creates (low quality) GIFS, one of the first things I did post class was cancelled that subscription lol! I can now use my creativity and skills to create fab GIFS for all of my sites, like this one I created for MACCS

Aside from becoming a photoshop wiz, you also get to fuel up on a delicious lunch by Boy With A Knife Catering during which you'll hear things like 'I don't normally go for seconds' or 'this is vegan?!'. It was so nice to spend a weekend in the city surrounded by creative minds all learning together. We were all at different stages in our careers, different industries, and learned at different paces, but Bria was so amazing in ensuring we were all on the right track and any questions we had were answered in detail. To sign up for her May class and to snag an early discount visit Digital Darlings HERE!
